HAY is fortunate to have its own community allotment; a cherished space that sits at the heart of our nature and outdoor learning offer.
For many of the families we work with, access to safe outdoor spaces like gardens is limited. Our allotment fills that gap, giving young people and their families a place to safely explore nature, connect with the outdoors, learn about growing fresh food, and engage in eco-learning in the heart of West Hounslow.
Over the years, we have been lucky to have wonderful volunteers who have given their time and energy to help maintain and develop the site, making it a welcoming, thriving space for everyone who visits.
From planting and seeding to weeding and picking fresh fruit and vegetables, our allotment offers young people and families a calm, tranquil escape and the chance to get their
hands in the soil, learn something new, and enjoy the simple pleasure of watching things grow.
