Tesco’s Refresh our Caterpillar Pre-School

During the October, Half-Term, Tesco’s Manager Clifford Thomas and Michelle Dent, Events Coordinator, along with 10 volunteers paid a visit to our Caterpillar Pre-School and offered to redecorate our Nursery, which was greatly needed.

Well equipped with overalls, tools and equipment, they arrived early on Monday 24 October and began their work. They tackled all parts of the pre-school including the manager’s office, play area, cloakroom, main entrance and toilets. They also went the extra mile by renewing wall tiles, touching up doors and give the Pre-School a totally new fresh look which staff loved when they returned from holiday.

HAY would like to say a very ‘Big Thank You’ to the Tesco’s Volunteers for all their hard work, dedication and commitment in the short space of time they completed the work. Their next venture at the Hanworth Centre, will be in December for Christmas, when they return to provide a Christmas meal to our Age UK Over 50’s group. We will keep you posted.

“Youth Bonds has allowed me to make new friends. I have a safe place to go and people I can talk to. I used to get into a lot of trouble at school , now things are much better. The staff visit me at school and I really like sharing the good things that are happening with them” Young person, 11
