Interim Impact Report, 2023 – 2025
Hounslow Action for Youth (HAY) is pleased to present this Interim Impact Report covering the period 2023–2025.
This interim report provides an overview of how we’ve responded to the evolving needs of children and young people in Hounslow, particularly those affected by poverty, trauma, special educational needs, and complex family circumstances.
We deliver free, high-quality, trauma-informed youth work both in-person and online, rooted in the communities we serve.

“I’ve never been a confident person. I don’t trust people easily and this means that I struggle to get help when I need it.
I didn’t think I would enjoy the writing project as much as I do. I wasn’t sure if I could write poetry, but I learnt a lot about what creative writing was.
There were so many topics we explored, and I felt connected to what I was writing. I enjoyed meeting the other members of the group, we always laughed and got on.
Seeing my work in a book is such a nice feeling, I have told everyone about it. I look forward to the workshops and being in a group.”

“The Youth Enterprise project was a hugely successful venture, as evidenced by the sustained participation and engagement of young people over an extended period of time.
Their confidence in decision making, problem solving and creative thinking developed significantly over the duration of the project.
It was wonderful to see them take pride in their individual enterprises.
The final sales event was a perfect opportunity to showcase exceptional talent and share their successes with parents and visitors alike.”
